Thanks for dropping by. I have never considered myself as an artist, but I have always loved colour and never been afraid to use it. Whether it's wearing it, painting the walls with it, sending bright coloured envelopes to my clients. I have always found ways to break with tradition and add colour where it's not supposed to be!
I recently left behind my corporate job 20 years. While I loved my job, I was craving the opportunity to explore my creativity, to indulge in my passion for colour, and to get my hands dirty and play with the raw beauty of concrete.
I am a firm believer that life is not black and white and my wish is to inject a little bit of colour into people's lives. I have always been obsessed with the colour orange. Perhaps that was a function of growing up in a cold city and craving warmth.
I love how a bit of colour can instantly warm or cold a room and change your headspace and make people more social.
I love how colours can change the way we perceive space and size. When you want a small room to seem bigger you paint the walls white or a very light colour and make sure you've got plenty of natural light streaming into the room. Conversely when you want to make a large space seem smaller you use darker colours.
It's fair to say my art is not designed to make a space smaller.
